Federal Period Shield Back Chairs
I took a class at my local Woodcraft last year with Ray Journigan (AKA "The Colonial Craftsman"). He walked us through all the joinery and carving techniques required to replicate this timeless design. I'm not necessarily a fan of "period" furniture, but I DO like the style from the Federal period. I learned a ton during this class and will use these techniques to further my woodworking/furniture making journey.

Sycamore Cabinet Build Process
Переглядів 3,4 тис.4 місяці тому
Sycamore has never been my "go to" wood for furniture projects, but the client hired me to build this piece to coordinate with his existing sycamore computer desk. Verdict - I really like working with this material. The initial design had an open space for books above the drawers, but once the drawers were fitted we decided that adding cabinet doors would give it a more completed look. As alway...
Family Game Table - Build Process
Переглядів 6 тис.5 місяців тому
This is a walnut table, countertop height with a 5' by 5' top. Total build time was approximately 200 hours. I designed it based on some ideas and pictures provided by the client, and did the mock-up in Shapr3D. The overall dimensions were there and some basic construction concepts, but the build process was a lot of figuring out the details as I went along. Having the legs set at a 45 degree a...

Repairing a 90-Year-Old Arm Chair
Переглядів 8139 місяців тому
Early, three-sheet plywood was often used in furniture making during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Unfortunately, the glues used in the manufacturing process have not stood the test of time. I get a few of these types of repairs in my shop every year, and it's best to just replace the failing parts rather than fill/repair. I would typically disassemble the chair in its entirety, howev...
Custom Nightstands Build Process
Переглядів 1,6 тис.Рік тому
I was tasked with transforming these stools into functional nightstands. Case and drawer fronts are canary wood. Waterlox Original finish. The stools are definitely not my style, but the client loved the finished product - guess that's what matters! #repurpose #processvideo #woodart
Flat Top Grill Cart Build Process
Переглядів 8 тис.Рік тому
This was a fun project I recently built for a dear friend of mine. Eucalyptus with Waterlox Marine finish - good combo for outdoor projects which doesn't break the budget! Yes, I know mixing wood with fire is a risky endeavor. 😁 I would not recommend this project with a conventional gas or charcoal grill. The flat top, however is quite a bit different. The heat is concentrated on that cast iron...

Cherry Chest of Drawers Build Process
Hi beautiful work and design I've been thinking of doing something just like that myself. Has it been ok with the heat generated? That's the only thing that's been holding me back . I saw the way you worked in the venting tastefully done!
Very nice
Boy did I enjoy your video ! Thank you for all your time and effort. 1in7
Pins first
Pins first!
Amazing skillness, two pieces of art. Tks for sharing
Fantastic work. I never saw the trick of using spray shellac prior to attaching the clamping blocks. Genius!
Wow! Absolutely mesmerizing! I love the video format too. Could watch that all day. Thank you.
Mariage of newest and old craftmans technics. 👍
awesome work....as always!!
Wonderful work! And congratulations on 100,000 subscribers!
Dang. You're not messing around. That's incredible work, across a wide variety of skills. Thanks for sharing your work with us!
A beautiful pair of chairs, fantastic craftsmanship the inlay work was a joy to watch 👍
Impressive times two. Chairs are challenging, especially the details of period pieces. How many hours did they take you?
No idea. I took the first of 6 classes in Jan 2023. Worked on them in between other projects for over a year. The instructor said it takes him about 8 days to make one of these chairs. 😳
Beautiful work! I know I don't have the patients, not to mention the skill to make things like this. So I'll just have to be satisfied watching you! Great work!
Lovely!
Mad skills. Looking good brother.
Amazing work, I am very impressed
can you give the link to buy edge trimming tool please?
Beautiful cart! Only one concern--drop-in grill heads warn to keep combustibles away from the grill box. Shouldn't that be just as true for a griddle?
Excellent work. I like the accessory and ash tray drawers.
Beautiful!
4:48 I also have my license plates hung in my garage. When I left NC in 1992, they told me that when I registered in the next State, I had to mail my NC plates back. If I didn't, they would have an arrest warrant made. My NC plate is hanging in my garage. lol.
Fab!
This is not a workbench, it’s a peace of art!
love it
I love the Michael Torke!!
Absolutely stunning! Curious as to which lockset hardware you used?
I don’t remember the exact model, but all the hardware for this build is from Whitechapel Ltd. whitechapel-ltd.com/
I wanna replace my wall cabinet shelves with 3 slides (like this) for spices. I don’t have all the cool tools you have but I’m gonna give it a try. I’m just scared of measuring for the top and bottom drawer slides. I can’t tell what you used for hardware or how you installed that part. Which seems the most critical.
I used Fulterer slides - different sizes/load ratings available. Spacing requirements are specified in the installation instructions provided. Pretty straightforward- you can do it 👍👊
@@cleancutwoodworks thank you. I did order their slides for another project that I am invested in at the moment. To put a mirror on a custom build in medicine cabinet. The mirror should slide open as it is SO huge and heavy...Fulterer slides had a set of 30 inch extended that are rated for 90 lbs. My mirror only weighs 50. But this will be perfect. I could only have wished for extended plus soft close. Still graciously happy you shared the brand you use.
Incredible!! So impressive.
Wow, want to make me one for our Church Blackstone Griddle?
That’s awesome
nice very nice
Jesus! As custom made as it can get!😎👌🏽
The attentipn to detail is unbelievable
I personally suck at transferring the pins I’ve tried everything by hand or with a band saw I’m fine when I use a incra dovetail set up but I’m terrible doing them by hand it’s so frustrating.. I use the painters tape like he does but they never like that for me I don’t know what I’m doing wrong 😕
Stunning piece of art! Great video.
Amazing job…..!!
The music makes me feel like I'm on acid. The woodworking makes me feel like I'm dreaming.... so also like I'm on acid.
That joiner is so nice. I’m actually mad at you.
Beautiful piece.
Beautiful work! Love the peaceful video style - no voiceover, no music, very chilled.
how much you charge for this?
Insanity 🤯
Beautiful work!
No talking, no loud music, no silly acting, no movie clips added in, just a good video and a very nice grill cart. Thanks
Do you sell that tipe of patio furniture?
Super skilled brother... like w a watching a master craftsman...
Always such nice work.
What do you use for finish on the sycamore?
